About the Biological Research Communication Society (BRCS)
The Biological Research Communication Society (BRCS) is an autonomous scientific society established in 2025 with a commitment to strengthen biological sciences through research, communication, and academic collaboration. The society operates under the Society Registration Act of 1860 and functions as a professional forum for researchers, educators, and students engaged in life-science research across India.
Founding Purpose
BRCS was created in response to a growing need for a dedicated scientific body that could support high-quality research and offer a credible platform for scientific communication. The founders recognized that early-career researchers often face barriers in publishing and presenting their work, and that many biological research areas require stronger visibility and structured dissemination.
To address these gaps, the society was established with a focus on expanding research opportunities, improving scientific literacy, and promoting publication ethics. BRCS aims to cultivate a supportive environment where researchers can share validated findings, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to national scientific advancement.
Our Journal: Biological Research Communications
The society launched its official scholarly journal, Biological Research Communications, in 2026 to promote transparent and rigorous scientific communication. The first issue of the journal, Journal of Biological Research Communications, was prepared in March 2025 as a pilot issue ahead of formal publication.
The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles across all domains of biological sciences, including biotechnology, environmental science, microbiology, zoology, botany, agriculture, and interdisciplinary branches. Through this journal, BRCS provides a high-quality platform for researchers to disseminate original findings, reviews, and scientific observations.
Why the Society Was Established
BRCS was formed to meet several critical scientific and academic needs:
- To promote ethical, transparent, and accessible research communication.
- To support researchers, particularly emerging scientists, who require professional platforms to publish quality work.
- To encourage interdisciplinary research and collaboration within the biological sciences.
- To build a community that values scientific integrity, methodological rigor, and constructive peer review.
- To contribute to national capacity building by organizing conferences, training workshops, and academic outreach.
The society envisions a vibrant research culture where scientific inquiry is recognized, supported, and communicated effectively.
Our Commitment
BRCS maintains a strong commitment to academic quality, open scientific dialogue, and community engagement. It continues to expand its initiatives in research support, publication, skill development, and collaborative programmes. The society stands as a platform dedicated to advancing biological sciences in India and contributing to global scientific progress.
